I've been using teflon for years, never had any dramas with it. Also used it in my enclsoure with my castlenaui's, never affected them. Not sure how it would go with a highly humid encironment such as a frog enclosure though. If there is room enough for a deep bowl on the floor of the enclsoure, paint the inside edge of the bowl and put your woodies in that. That was how I used to feed all my dragons and monitors years ago.

Fluon is the way to go for keeping insects. For frogs I think you would be better off making the enclosure escape proof for roaches.

Fluon, as I understand it is the main ingredient in teflon coatings.

Has anybody tried putting roaches in a teflon coated pan to see if they can climb the sides?

I think i remember someone saying they cant, again on this forum(or maybe another one) somewhere. I will run some trials i just have to wait for my parents to go to sleep

To my knowledge teflon is a name of a polymer(aka plastic), polymer names are usually trademarks and im fairly sure its a trademark of Dupont. Its about the most slippery stuff you can get and is used in countless applications where low friction is desired I would be extremly suprised if a product didnt already exist that would set solid and be slippery enough to stop roaches gripping, it wouldnt be cheap but you wouldnt need much and it would last ages.

I tried a roach on the non stick pan and i think it would work if the pan wasnt covered in thousands of scratches, it could climb a bit but then slipped off. I have little doubt a smooth unscratched surface would be to slippery for them to climb.
