temperature

is 35.5 degrees to hot for a snakes hide ? it is the hottest point in the enclosure ...

It's too warm for my liking, move it to a cooler part of the cage or even better give the snake a second hide and let it choose

Anything above 32 is to hot in my opinion.
My snakes have a hot end of 29 - 31 and a cool end of 26.

Provided the enclosure is big enough for it to get away from the hot area (ie cool end at 25ishC) then I wouldn't worry overly much. Just when they cant get away is when there is difficulties with heat stress. The guy I got most of my info from initially had his hotspots at 35C but with enough area for them to get away and keep cool if the animal so desired.
