thermometers?

I would like to see which thermometers people use in thier enclosures and incubators. I like the digital as most people would but find that some brands can be out by 2.c

Which brands do people swear by?

when you say out by 2 deg Cel, what are you basing that on, i.e. comparing it to what?

i use digital thermometers, single probe reads 1.1 of a degree , never had a problem with them, also its the same ones sold in the pet stores for about $40 and i found them at bunnings for $10 so i bought one for every enclosure. these ones have the medal probe. end they all read the same when together so they must be accurate

cheers steve

Calibrated thermometer

I compare my digital, mercury and alcohol glass thermometers to a certified calibrated thermometer.

I use the in/outs from Dick Smiths. 50 bucks each but well worth it, the batteries last ages and they are very accurate. You's gets wot yous pays for I guess. Oh, one thing though, they are not the best in enclosures with sand substrate as the sand tends to jam up the buttons after a few months with animals that tend to dig or throw the sand around a bit.
