It is set up in an air conditioned room, so external temps shouldn't be a problem.

Cheers | Dimming stats will not turn off unless the temp gets too high- you set the desired temp and the thermostat controls the amount of power going to the heat source to try and maintain the desired temp. It will only switch off if ambient (or enclosure temp) is above the set temp. Pulsing stats pulse the power to the heat source.

After everyones advice I returned the Microstat 100 & purchased the B1 Thermostat. I also made a different Incubator, Thanks to Nephrurus post on a cheap way to build an incubator. It was very useful. it now only varies in 0.5 of a degree...
I am now in the process of obtaining a glass door drinks fridge to turn in to a incubator for the future.
Thanks to everyone for their advice & help on this matter.

buy a dimming unit i think ther called b1 & b2 same manifacture as the mini stat 1 they cost a bit you will be more then happy with the resulting clutch
& not forgetting temp dictates the resulting sexs
