Question Those Pics of my female BHP's butt... bolgy red reshy thing is that normal??

hey I was wondering in my prepious post about her doing a poo and having a red bolgy fleshy bit sticking out after she did a terd, is a female surpose to have that or is it just males? in the second pic shows the string that apears to be like sperm or something which started my curriostity od her maybe being a him instead.

If I'm confussing and my sentences don't make sence and I'm just maybe over reacting then please let me know and set me straight cheers.

Jody

Not sure about pythons, but in dragons the wee usually comes out as white stuff and often kinda gooey and stringy. Perhaps that's what the white stuff is.

But the red thing.. is it still sticking out? Could be a prolapse, I think.

Looks like a prolapse.
There was some good advise in the herp help section recently with a bredi with it.
I think the advise was keep it moist with a sugar and water blend and get it to a vet asap.
Good luck.

did it retrack after the poo or is it still visible?
If it's visible like donk said possibly prolapse and i'd get it to a vet.

That's really the most important question. If it retracted back into the body after the poo, it's probably just everted its rectum to help get all the crap out. If it's still there it may be a prolapse and will need urgent vet care!

It seems perfectly normal, after a snake has a fairly big poo they often push out a small section of the fleshy part of their bowel, it then retracts back into the body. IF it didn't retract then it needs to be re inserted.
