todays herping

found these while it was sprinkling today
first bluey we found was very placid

isnt it illegal to handle them hahah lol i went loooking for boydies today in a spot i normaly always see them didint even see one saw a lil turtle though)

Would be nice to be able to go herping at the moment but has been raining here everyday for the last week and a half. But we need the rain so no complaints coming from me. Very nice looking herps you found.

Cool. Last time a bluey wandered into my yard I picked him to move him to safer location and he wanted to eat my hand. Wasn't happy at all.

yeah i was so disapointed about the boydies normaly thier every where all i saw was a cute lil baby saw shell wasnt even scared at all just swimnig around like a metre out lol

now the snake looks black,was it all black??

was it the same colour as rest of body??

well red bellie would be the most common but you get the small eyed snake in that area too

and small eyed snakes can have a pinkish belly but the colouring is wholly confined to the ventral scales,not like on a red bellie where the colour can be seen partialy on the sides
