Trouble with hatchlings feeding.

You all remember that I had some dificulties with some of my coastal hatchlings to get them started to feed.
After 3 months I do have interesting situation.
I purchased 6 hatchlings from same clutch. 2 of them started to feed like crazy straight away and they are now 3 times bigger than the others.
2 other started to eat pinkies month ago, and I had to kick they feeding reflex with mice tail technique. the other two are still eating only rat tails slided to they throught half way.
They all have same conditions and temperature. This is just showing how different temperament you can have in same clutch of hatchlings.
One of them is really crazy about feeding and I have to slow his apetite little. He love my fingers too.

They came from Boconnor didnt they ?
I got two off him and they are not great feeders at all i had to give one a skink which it took and then i gave it a pinky rat fresh out of the nest it loved it and took it straight away but it wont take F/T yet and the other one only eats fuzzy mice when left with overnight but at least they are F/T

Slateman,
Carpets usually don't show much interest at all in pinkies, they seem to prefer a fuzzy size mouse that is just starting to grow some fur.
Unfortunately this time of year you also have the seasons against you, alot of snakes are off their food regardless of the temperature they are being kept at.Rat and mouse tails would have next to no nutritional value at all so I'd really be trying everything possible to get them all onto fuzzy mice.
Keep them seperate, warm and in a relatively small plastic tub and try leaving live fuzzies in with the snakes overnight and see how you go.
Regards,
Splitmore

Yes splitmore I agree with you. I do not have to much problems with them. They are all separate and in resanoble condition. It is just interesting that some of them eat like crazy and some of them are fussy. Tails do not give them much nutriens, but it is good to kick feeding instinct that way. It worked for me. The last two taken frozen pinkie each after tail.
It happened just hour ago and now I am happy.
It is always hard to feed the late hatchlings in winter.
