tummy colour

Hi,
I was just woundering whats the normal colour for a snakes tummy? And does it depend on the species?

It depends on the species like childrens pythons have nice cream white tummys but a coastal carpet has all different colours

hehe......... they vary from different species............ u made me get out my bredl ....and it has a white belly with tan and light brown splodges towards the outer edges

varies from species to species, and indeed from individual to individual. We have one proserpine with a cream belly and another one with a salmon pink.

I think for the majority of pythons the base colour of their belly will be some sort of cream, white or salmon with variations. Even the red bellied black snake doesn't have a red belly. It has a red stripe on its side that gives it the apprearance of having a red belly but it's actually a salmon colour.

lol NoOne, I was thinking much the same thing.
I have seen a RBBS with a pure white belly though, nice looking snake, shame it was dead.
