do you think the python could eat a little turtle or two? I dont reckon they physically could. I dont really want to find out the hard way either..LOL and im sure your python doesnt too.

bloody shame Alan, sorry to hear about him. how long did you have him before this? might have been some other cause? internal genectic abnormality? was he pooing normally? nothing (substrate) to cause impaction? Buy another one, not your fault. cheer up. :wink:

Instar, i only had the guy overnight so it was a bit of a shame. Although a bit better that i didnt have time to get too attached. Oh well, things happen and i will just get a new one from somewhere.

I think I remember the thread, basically the water dragon sat in the bowl which was slightly warmed by a heat lamp, when the heat lamp turned off the water gradually cooled until it was freezing. Because the water cooled so slowly the water dragon did not notice and continued to sit until it had no energy to move out by itself and drowned. Thats just how I remember it.
Also sorry to hear about this, its always sad to lose an animal.

spring herp thats like the turtle soup method but in reverse if u put a turtle in a pot of water then slowly bring it to the boil the turtle will start cooking and not even know it but if you put a turtle into a pot of already boiling hot water it would jump out so dont think i would actualy do this to a turtle its just a metaphore
