UV lights in pythons

Do you need an UV light in a pythons cage either a carpet or diamond? I have read they only need a few hours a week others i have read they need a normal 10hrs a day and others i have read they don't need any. (for indoor enclosures) whats your opinion?

do a search in the forums for diamonds and make your own mind up. IMO carpets don't need it, i only give u.v to the diamonds

Imo get any snake [any reptile) outside for natural daylight/sunlight as often as practical. Better than any artificial source, that said makes it a bit pointless using them imo.

i havent got uv with my diamonds but i've started putting them out side for a couple of hours a week.
