UV Tube Belts Out Some Rays...

Hey Guys and Gals,

Is it just me being a fair-skinned redhead, but I installed my new NEC black light tube the other night, and I just had it on - with no reptiles in the enclosure (and no glass doors either) - and I swear, after about 20 minutes of having it on, my head felt really hot, and it really felt like I had a mild case of sunburn? I mean, it is UV rays we are talking about here, and I was only about 1.2 metres away from the enclosure, but I wasn't sure if that is what was happening.

Any thoughts, anyone???
