Question Visiting your vet?

Do you take your snake for regular checks at the vet?

Sure my herps get a vet visit every day Actually it's a bit like visiting your doctor. Some people go for an annual physical and most of the time they are fine and might feel they have visited unneccessarily but sometimes the Dr will pick up problems they have missed. Basically it's the same with your pets. If you are confident that everythings great, then that's fine but sometimes its helpful to get a once over. They might find something you missed. Unfortunately literally everyday I see a new/first time keeper who either didn't get good advice or didn't listen to the breeder or pet shop and as a result has made a major stuff up in the care of their pet. (like feeding their monitor just chicken breast!) I end up seeing them when the animal is on its way out. Especially if you are new to the game a regular check up with an experienced reptile vet can be a good idea.
