I'm thinking maybe having 2 sections. I want the front section on hinges so i can open it and the back section will have the light hood sitting over it... I've attached a rough drawing so you can get a good idea of what i want. What materials would be best to use. I'm thinking stained wood to match my tank stand. I have access to both fibreglass and metal flyscreen. The fibreglass screen is probably best to use, but if it rips then i have to take the lid apart.... any solutions? I also need a way to latch the front section.
what have other people got their viv lids made out of? Weight doesn't bother me either, the heavier the better as my male green tree frog is a weight lifter and an excellent escape artist!
