Vivarium Pics

Hey guys, i'm about to be in the process of moving my 6month stimmie into a new bigger better enclosure from his click clack. Can anyone post pics of their cages so i can getg some ideas.

well, at the moment ive got my 4 month old spotted in a plastic fish take. its about 40cm long, 20 wide and 30 high, and its got a clip on lid. it only cos $14 from the discount store. it'll last it a few more months.

This is what I keep my 4 month old Stimson in.

After: There's a large branch going across it now, this picture is a month or more old though.

does your stimmie have any health or feeding problems from the cage being to big? I heard this can stress them out a bit

Nope, she doesn't have ANY problems.

She, Eats, Sheds, Does her Business all fine. and she Handles great never striked in her life .

Plus I moved her into that enclosure because it appeared that she was stressed in the click clack and she searched around the whole thing for hours on end.

Plus the enclosure isn't that big.. It's only

Long: 60cm
Wide: 50cm
High: 60cm

this is the cage i built and it only cost me around $350.00 and a weekend of love and sweat to build the cage but i also put in 6.5mm laminated glass just to be safe when kids are around that was $190.00 on top of the cage and lighting it is 1.5mtrs wide 500mm deep and 1.3mtrs high with living area 780mm high

What are you running for heat? Mats?
Is anyone using just mats as apossed to lamps?

hi i am useing mat,s too, a small heat mat at one end in case thay are in the rock hide minstat 100 to keep mat at right heat
