W.A Lace Monitors

I'm currently considering a move back to North-West W.A and am wondering if it's possible to take my two adult Lace Monitors with me?

Anyone know the rules/regulations??

Also Remember you can not import pythons, the turtle and the tortoise.

I don't know if I'm prepared to part with my Lacies on the off-chance of a permanent position.

Why aren't Gillens on the list Loudenj, given that their native to the state?

You can't import pythons, as has already been said, or anything that is not on the list of approved species. Other WA endemic species you can import into WA, lacies aren't one of those!

you can not import anything in to wa can you.i thought you can only export out of wa.i might be wrong.

I would contact CALM and verify if there import is illegal. There may be grounds for an exemption/exception.
Importing endemic species makes less sense to me somehow.

Peter agreed,

I queried them about the Central breaded Dragon about two weeks. You can own them over in perth, if bought from certain breaders. Their main concern in that case is the number of incorrectly identified dragons. IDB is another major concern for them, limiting the exposure is the main aim.

While I understand the reasons, however it tends (IMO) to work againest prompting Herb owning. Once again the last point is IMO.
