Wanambi & friends

Just had Wanambi out for a "chat" & thought I might take some piccies. We didn't realise how much he had grown until we compared the pictures of him. He is in a weird mood tonight. He [we think he is in fact a she!] was rubbing his/her chin on my arm & constricting quite tight. No, not from stress. It was as if he/she was thinking of tasting me! There is also a pic of Spyro having a cuddle with my daughter and 1 of a baby spider. We are being invaded by them atm. Hope you like.

Ta. Yeah Spyro is a bit spoilt! He does love his cuddles. Wanambi is approw 3 ft now.[105 ish cm!] & is 13 months old. Here is another pic of Wanambi doing a Kaa impression. Just after I took this shot he/she turned & disappeared up Rob's sleeve. You can see a nice inviting gap just waiting for him/her. Hahaha

It is the indigenous name for snake in the central area. It is a certain tribe but I'm sorry I can't recall the name of the tribe! Seemed to fit for a Centralian snakey.

Thanks. Hard to believe it's the same snake who tagged me 4 times in a matter of seconds! Talk about feisty!
Yes D/L there is a story of Wanambi in dreamtime. I have a fascination for the indigenous dreamtime stories. Magical and beautiful, I just wish there were more books about it!
PS Can't do the others Lana. Will this do?

Now you're talking. I love camping. During school holidays we were lucky enough to have an elder from the tribe that inhabits this area [ or used to] He was sooo interesting. Taught us about bush tucker and basket weaving with the reeds we get around the lake. It was a great day. Wish they would do more of them!!
