water pythons outside

Hello everybody.my question is has anyone ever kept their water pythons in an out door enclosure successfully. The reason i ask is that i would love to set up a large out door enclosure with a small pond inside of it.I'm thinking because i am in south east queensland that it might be to cold down here for the N.T water pythons to be kept outside. And also what would be an average age for breeding these guys.

You could do it if you had sufficent heating set up controlled by one or more thermostats incase it was a hot day.

From september to May it should be OK but I would bring them in for winter. I love my WPs and are waiting for the big one to shed so I can take her outside to photograph.
Oh, and have a look at the thread "Slatemans pic of the Week" page 8. It has amazing photos of the closly related white-lipped .
UPDATEThe big one just shed but was feed last night. I'll have to wait until sunday before I can photgraph her.
