Talking We Have Beardie Eggs (yay!!)

Hi all, well got the shock of my life when I came home today, before I went out I only just put my two girls into separate enclosures with a box of damp send as I thought I could feel one or two tiny lumps in them. I thought that maybe in a few weeks we may see some eggs. Well when I got home 3 hrs later to my surprise I had a container full of eggs. So of course me in panic mode, because our incubator still wasn't completely set up panicking about what I was going to do. Luckily enough however a mate of mine had a small incubator which she raced around to me. All in all we so far have 16 eggs that from what I can tell are all fine (now I swore the beardie that laid these had maybe 2 in her). But in saying that my big fat girl Ms piggy is probably a few hours of laying hers now and I reckon there will be more than 16 in that lot. Anyhow here's a photo and I will keep you all updated on how the rest go. Lets just hope I can get this all right

Congrats!! I know how exciting it is to find your first clutch of eggs

Good luck with them. I had the exact same thing happen with Phoenix. Tuesday night last week I felt a few small lumps in her tummy and suspected she *may* be gravid. Not even 24 hours later, out pops 23 eggs! Quite a surprise! But a pleasant one nonetheless

Best of luck with your beardie babies...

Thanks, yeah I was 50% excited 50% terrified because I was so unorganized (should of taken your advice Miss B) lol but a few days ago I couldn't even feel lumps so really wasn't expecting this. When I put them in today I thought yeah maybe in a few weeks we will see some eggs, went off to get the last few things for my incubator and yeah . I had no containers ready nothing so was running around like a idiot. But hopefully all is well now there slowly cooking away.

Hey, I'm already organised, incubators stable (at flaming last) and I'm still terrified about when eggs will drop!

The eggs are cooking at around 29 - 30deg at the moment. Because the incubator is only a small one and was a rush to get it up and going it's still fluctuating a tiny bit between the two, hopefully will settle shortly and not cause too many problems. My large fridge incubator hopefully will be completely ready by tomorrow.

, yeah I know what you mean. If I had any idea it was going to happen this soon I would of been ready weeks ago, but I've just been plotting along as I certainly didn't' expect this. We got some gravid pythons but there still a month or more from laying god I hope lol.
