Maybe I'm less trusting than you or perhaps I take shipping a bit more seriously but I always ensure the shipping details are worked out prior to me sending money.
I do hope the python does arrive OK though. |

I think its the breeders fault as they should be aware of the legalitys of shipping and after all you are the one paying for shipping not them ! also with newbies how are they supposed to know whats allowed and whats not unless they ask i only found out from asking about the express post when i was looking to buy my darwins but i felt very uneasy when told about aussie post express as you see how bad they are with normal mail (no offence Greebs )

dont fret too much until the post arrives, they can go weeks in a bag.
its unlikely it will die, it will be dehydrated and looking for some heat when she arrives.
think positive and stop stressing so much, it is beyond your control at this stage just prepare for the arrival so the snake is immediately put in a tank it can be left alone for a week or so. hides heat and water.
any new herper take note, do not send live animals through the post system. Ncherps was being tactful compared to what a lot of experienced herps were thinking, don't let that put you off. Understand that and learn from the experience. Flying them isnt foolproof and things can go wrong there too, freighting of snakes shouldnt be taken lightly. |

I would also inform NPWS of her practices, she doesn't deserve to own reptiles.

As Ad said they can survive for weeks in a bag without any lasting side effects.
Not everywhere is on express post routes and if you are not then it will probably get there the tommorrow.
I know people that express post between Sydney and Melbourne without any problems, it less hassel than going to the airport.
This sort of thing is just pointless you have been saying how great this breeder is for the last week or so, in several threads and when the slightest thing goes wrong this poor breeder is the worst herper in the world. Give them a break, it's not all his fault and it's not all your fault.
I would back that the breeder organised everything and did the best they could for you. |

she is a good herper and is trying to be convinient for her buyers (even though it is illegal) it is cheeper and more convinient for the buyers thats why i was considering it but when i found out it is illegal i backed out about the express post
Her diamonds are brilliently coloured and her and her dad have been herping for years

If she is that blase about it turning up dead, she loses some credibility (to me anyway) most breeders would surely prefer there animals turned up in the best possible condition. Anyway as for "cheaper" its your money, not hers. your choice.
