|  | Seller | Join Date: Nov-06 Location: Brisvagas | | | What A Surprise Well our female Atherton shed this morning. I was telling everyone on here like a week ago how she was around 7 - 8ft. Well we measured the shed this morning for the first time since we got her.  she is a staggering 9 1/2ft lol. The male is even bigger so I'll have to wait for him to shed to get a size on him. Is it normal for a 5yr old Atherton to be this big, her width is around the same size as a the top of my arm (which isn't thin by the way lol).

|  | Subscriber | Join Date: Dec-04 Location: Somewhere near Brisbane | | | | A fresh shed is more than 30% longer than the snake itself. If a shed is 9 feet long than the snake could be 6 feet long. If you look at a shed skin you will notice the skin between each scale if visible whereas the skin on the snake is hidden, when you multiply the little bit of skin between each scale you can see how it stretches so much.
