The Dilution Table shows that a 1:500 ratio isnt effective against some nasties.
I mix mine at 1:125 or close enough.
And i use it for just about everything, including bare hands. | Thanks for that Australis...i will up it.

Aqium Hand Wash in between handling different snakes.
Also good if you have been handling wild caught animals.I keep some in the car as well as in between enclosures.Quarter the price of some reptile brand hand cleaners and exactly the same stuff.
Just rub it into your hands and it dries itself..to easy

F10 Hand Gel for hands.
The combination of F10SC disinfectant and alcohol results in a quick-drying, waterless skin decontaminant that has a broad spectrum performance against bacteria, fungi and viruses in only 15 to 30 seconds. Ideal for use by people working in situations where washbasins are not present, for entry points to designated clean manufacturing areas, and to assure good biosecurity in animal production facilities. F10 Hand Gel is available in 5L drums.

| | | | The difference between cleaning and disinfecting
G'day all,
I noticed a fair bit on F10 in this discussion so thought I might chip in a bit. There is a difference between cleaning hands, and disinfecting or decontaminating hands. If you have really dirty or soiled hands its important to wash them first with soap and water to physically remove organic matter etc, otherwise disinfectant efficacy may be compromised. If you are using a decent antimicrobial soap then no further disinfection is required, however, if you use regular soap then I'd recommend some sort of disinfection thereafter - many here have mentioned F10SC Vet Disf and also F10 Hand Gel, both of which would be suitable for this. If your hands aren't really dirty though, just this last step is fine.
Cheers,
Andrew
