At this stage yes it is. But that's really unfair to do. I personally do NOT recommend doing this. These people give away kittens under the pretense that they are going to a good home.

Now thats downright silly. Given the damage rabbits do here, you'd think the less the better!
Your not even allowed domestic rabbits without a license in QLD (i think).

Better ignore that suggestion then mick, (or dont get caught )

i wouldn't use any ones to be pets
you can go to the pound and get for free ones thats will be put down anyway
i wouldn't use cats because of the possible risk factors
i would stick to lab mice and rats

Cats are fine if they are frozen in advance.
You are entitled to your choice though

so you can get a few cats and get them to make snake food for you ? is this only allowed in Qld or other states as well

Not sure about other states, im in QLD.

And Bryony, large snakes need large food items. My scrub python has a really hard time getting down a piddly rat and rabbits are illegal in Qld so i can't breed them to feed my babies.

Here you have to pay for them from the pound. They need to be desexed etc. too. So that's a really expensive snake feed!!
