What happens if sibling Murray Short Necks breed.

I have two little murray short necks both from same parents i think.
I dont truly know their sex, but if they are female and male will they breed.
And is this ok, no mutant turtles will be made will they??
They both live in a 4ft tank beutiful setup, if they're both male will they fight?

You will end up with inbred young. While they will probably be fine they can be more receptive to disease. Not to mention the weakening of the captive populations genetics.

They will be absolutely fine, it takes quite a few generations for any possible weakness to appear if at all.

it needs to be bright green and toxic to work right, i had to evict mine after they started hanging out in the sewers, its hard to tell how much they stink when their on TV. They also started bashing some of my mates.

Just having a look at your set-up, you have no basking light. The turtles wiill need a low wattage heat lamp above their basking spot so they can completley dry out whenever they want. The heat lamp only needs to raise the temperature a few degrees more than the water temp.

i have never kept turts before, but am considering it, are there any spp. of turts that can be housed inside all their life? i only want a 3ft tank and would be happy with one turt but just dont want to build anything outside for them. if not how long could 1 or 2 short necks live in a 3ft tank from hatchlings?
