What material to use for Mesh cover?

Hi All

The cage I am designing will have a long mesh cover going across the top of the cage, to prevent the reptile from getting any here need the heat source/s. What material would you all recommend this be made from? Is there any suitable material that wont burn and wont get hot ?

theres snake and mouse mesh you can by from Bunnings in rolls
but its metal and would heat up
there's not much that wouldnt either heat up of melt on ya...that i know of haha

I usually use fly wire.

We just use aviary mesh.

Could anyone possibly send me pictures of how they have all of there heat sources atop of the cage behind mesh?
