Hey Lukey,
You should choose whatever interests you. I'm quite interested in Green Tree Pythons, and ALL they do is lay around all day - but it doesn't mean I dont like them any less. A GTP's job is not to entertain me.
You should have a think about what reptile interests you the most..... a lot of people ask 'what should my first python be?" - and they say it with the same casual tone as if they were picking out what t-shirt to wear. Your decision should be based on your own interests and fascinations.
That said, a number of herpers have trouble deciding, because they want ALL OF THEM! (me included!). If you can relate to this, you should tell your mum that the spare room will be the 'Herp Room' by next month - get her used to the idea sooner rather than later. While you're at it, tell your older brother he should really get a job with Integral Energy. You'll understand why about 3 months after you set up your herp room!
If you can't decide because you want them all, then pick the one that appeals to you most. If you can't decide because you're in love with the 'idea' more than the actual reptile, then perhaps you should think about it for a while.
regards,
Lockie.
