your best bet mate is to make it out of ply or melamine then use glass in the front (just like the ones you help me build ) and a 5x2x2 is way to big for a juvie bredlie and i thought you where getting a coastal not bredlie
also welcome to the site

I think MDF is a better material to work with. It will need several coats of paint/varnish to be sealed well.

I use glass sliding doors but a better option would be a hinged door front with a glass panel.

You also haven't told us the size of your snake. If it's a hatchling/juvenile you may want to consider keeping it in a small tub half on a heat mat until it starts growing to a larger size.

5foot enclosure sounds good but are you getting an adult or a baby? 5foot would be too big for a baby - it may cause him to be timid, snappy and just hide all the time.

Tank should be at least half the length of your snake, and being a carpet he'd like some height or branches to climb.
