The hard as nails is fairly thick so as long as your mesh is fairly flat, it will hold it and dry hard. Did the job well with mine. |

Even when I take the lid off they arent anywhere near big enough to jump out, even medium sized ones cant seem to jump out. My bigger ones live outside in a 52 litre tub by the back door without a lid (well, they did, until some bird had a field day and ate them all, now the lid is securely back on with holes drill in the top!)

If you are using a substrate then its very hard to seperate them from the flooring.

Originally Posted by Tatelina Then there's the question of how people manage to only get a few crickets out of their containers to be fed.. sheesh! | Lol thats what i found with both crickets and woddies feeding our new GTF I have crickets in the garage chirping away after our fist feeding. even just transfereing them from container they brought in to their new living space was a dramma woddies everywhere lol.I find the easiest way is the egg container idea Put the whole thing in the GTF enclosure open the lid then shake about the right amount out any escapees are soon eaten up and not running round the house Apparently u can get something to smear around the top of container to stop them getting out!!!
