I was wondering what would be easier for a 1st snake (a stimpson, a jaguar carpet python or childrens).? I am getting one for my birthday in October and I was wondering which one would be the smallest and easiest to look after. I am in hospital a bit so I'm looking for one with a good temperament.

a spotted (maccie), stimsons or childrens would be good.
They dont get very big and wont need a huge enclosure.

You could probably get a carpet that looks a little like a jag.
look at as many pics as you can and then make up your mind which way you want to go.
Remember carpets are generally alot bigger than stimies.

Trouble, how come you were thinking of getting a Jag, where did you plan to get it from? It couldn't have been legal...

Trouble, do you realise there are no LEGAL Jags in this country ? They would cost many 1000's of $ if they were here. What made you add one to your list of 2 very common cheap snakes ?
