i have been told that there is not much need to give coastals a cooling period as they are used to a warmer climate, and i think that wainer mice should do the trick for now wait untill he is about 70cm or so. thats my thoughts anyhows

[not breeding this year/not likely anyway] will they just go off food anyway?, cause mine has even though dad only recently reset the temp. few weeks now no food. do snakes just know its winter? do coastals "cool" in the wild?

It is a good idea to cool them just a little and give them a break from food for two/three months after their first year. My two year old will get cooled a few degrees during the day (but still getting a few hours of a basking spot of 30), and at night down around 20 or less for short periods of time.
Hope this helps, Sim

i think you adjust down temps a week or two after last elimination [poo] and dont feed till spring/3 months. thats how i understand it anyway. mine is "cooling" now. he is not very active but he does move around some, drink etc. someone will be able to give you and me a better understanding of it.
