White-lipped python

They are not allowed to be kept in Australia right???? If so, then why are they on the Reptile keepers species list??

They can be kept in most states...it's just that they really don't exist in captivity. If anyone was to breed them, I'd imagine the price for hatchlings would be in the vacinity of GTP's.

Where exactly did you see an Australian White Lipped python?? If you read the last thread about these pythons, Big-guy mentions that there has only been one unconfirmed siting of a White lipped Python in Australia.

Cogger states that they are found on the Torres Strait Islands.

Cool. Is that where Kenshin saw them?

RE: Re: RE: White-lipped python

They are on the reptile licence list that states we are aloud to keep them. In a thread a few days ago there were some members saying that they wanted them but couldn't. I researched the net and the snakes they were talking about are the same ones on the list. Liasis albertisii, you need a class 2 licence in NSW to keep them. Don't know about other states though.
