RE: why wont he eat?

It wasn't that long ago we would freak out if any of our animals didn't eat. But thanks to advice from this site, we know not to worry unless it goes on for months. I still worry if it's been a month but in our experience, They usually eat within that.

RE: why wont he eat?

When one of my hatchies didn't eat I left the pinkie overnight and it was gone next day. I am just relieved i've never had to resort to a pinkie pump. GROSS STUFF

RE: why wont he eat?

we finally got our bredli to eat, it was almost a month!!
we did as advised here and 'brained' a pinky (yukky) then rubbed it on a live mouse, i popped it in his hide and it was gone the next day. three days later after a good poop i did another ne and he ate it as soon as i put it in. now he is cruising

RE: why wont he eat?

Thanks guys, I also talked to my local (sort of) specialist reptile shop and got a few ideas off the guys there too, so something is sure to work.

RE: Re: RE: why wont he eat?

no they didnt say anything about scenting, just some ideas about what time to feed and using a separate heated container to feed him in. Yes it is a hatchy and the enclosure isnt huge but is quite large compared to him i guess....

RE: Re: RE: why wont he eat?

We were advised that a click clack tub was the best for our hatchy. Apparently they feel more comfortable in small surroundings like that, rather than an enclosure. It had another feed this morning.
