Williamsi just laid eggs

Hi everyone, my eastern spiny tail gecko just laid eggs. I know the eggs should be incubated around 30 degrees, but how precise does it have to be? My thermostat makes the temp fluctuate a bit If there are fertile, how long shall i expect to wait until they hatch?
Cheers, Malley

another question, is it necessary to place the eggs a certain "way up"? If so, how do i tell, they were laid on a branch, and were resting in between the branch and the side of the tub... Can anyone give me a quick run down on the care at all? Please?

Home work........always do your research before you do something like this.

However theyve popped so here we are.

If they are anything like Beardies you will see a vein on one side of the egg. This should be placed UP for maximum success rate. temp is very critical. Usually around the 28c is good for beardies but for your breed im not so sure, lets take 30c. try using another thermometer or 2 to see how accurate your thermostat is. And adjust your thermosats dial till it is at correct temp. A degree lower is better then a degree higher.
then there is the vermicultite which should be damp enough that you when you squeeze it no water comes out and it holds into a ball. This usually happens with hardly any water...so make a batch up to throw away that you purposely add bit after bit after bit of water till you squeeze and it comes out. This will give you an idea as to when to stop adding water. there is sites with a more exact approach in information. RESEARCH if you want it all exact. Google.
This is all newbie(me) information as accurate as i know.
Goodluck.

Hi Mate,

I wouldn't be incubating D.williamsi at 30C. About 26-27 is fine.

Cheers,

Keep the eggs facing the same way they were layed, the top of the egg can be marked with a texter so you know where the top is. If you can not ensure you have an accurate thermometer then set it a bit lower because it is better to underfheat eggs than to cook them.

I'm with Jordo and place the eggs the same way they were laid. If you start turning them you can break the membrane inside.

Use the same amount of vermiculite per water. For example 150grams water to 150 grams vermiculite weighed.
