    Ouch! She got you good!
In this day and age, why do people still believe everything they see on the TV and read in the newspaper? You can learn some very interesting things when you learn to think for yourself!

Ah, someone I can relate to! :p

I had a very similar experience with my four year old female Bredli, only a few weeks ago - this, however, is the result of simply not thinking! (note to all, I've posted this here so you all know that those of us who have been keeping these animals for longer than "five minutes", also get a little forgetful or complacent - this was totally my fault...)

On feed night, my female Bredli always comes out of her enclosure to feed, I stepped off my step-ladder when I got her out, took a couple of steps back, picked up the tub that had her rat in it, started to walk toward her feeding tub... She was heading down toward her tub (she's quite well practiced at this!), and noticed in my other hand was her din... The funny thing was, a split-second before this occured, I thought "I'm an idiot, this won't end well"... Well, the pic tells you what happened...!

hey mate ive had a similar experience when i first got my 3 yr old bredli..in the end i put it down to being in experienced and the fact that i was a new smell to her so she didn't know if i was a predator or not. i used a snake hook to let her know i was their and to get her out from then on, 4 months later after handling her everyday she got better and better and after about 1 months i didnt need the snake hook i can just pick her straight up, i believe you should keep persisting with him/her once she realises your not a danger to her she wont bite you any more. nice pics too!

Knowing the bloke you got this snake off, I can tell you it was his baby and this would have been a food bite. Just make it aware you're picking it up and it's not feed time and I'll be quite surprised if it bites you again - never bit him
    Take it or leave it.

Good work going for the camera. That shows a great commitment to tag photos.

At least 5 minutes soaking in hydrogen peroxide is a good idea for killing off the bacteria from the snake's mouth (had a scary talk on that at the AHS last year) and possibly loosening up the embedded teeth. Otherwise use betadine as per Beard's advice. The main thing is to use plenty of disinfectant. The teeth are relatively easy to deal with compared to an antibiotic resistant infection.

I presume the teeth do grow back (bit like sharks probably)..I got tagged by my little stimmie once..pretty bad for a tiny snake and just in reaction pulled my hand back and out came two teeth...poor little thing haha
