Escapee
I bought a new coastal yesterday and had her ina box last night while her new enclosure aired. The box was taped and had something heavy on top, but I have just come out to find her gone.
I am abut to start the search, hopefully she is stil in my office, which is a double garage and has stuff every, ie plenty of places for her to hide, damn I am an idiot, I should have known better!Showcasing the native wildlife of the Redlands, Qld, Australia.

Do you mean like a cardboard box or shoebox? maybe the heavy weight that you put on top made the cardboard bend and gave her room to slip through (if that makes sense)
Good luck with the search
hope you find her

Yeh I know what you mean Nikki. Everything was still perfectly in place when I went to check on her this morning, I can't believe I would do something this stupid. I have now searched my office and the entire ceiling area and nothing. I know she is going to be in the most obscure spot. She could have gone anywhere over night, I last checked her at 9.00pm and found her gone at 6.00am, so she has had 9 hours to go anywhere. I guess now that it is daylight she will be curled up in a hide somewhere, if I can't find her today I will go looking again tonight and hopefully catch her on the move.
Wish me luck.Showcasing the native wildlife of the Redlands, Qld, Australia.

Found! The little bugger was sitting on top of a pylon in my office watchng me the whole time. She wasn't too happy about her brief stint of freedom coming to end.
What a relief.

You're not wrong. I was banking on her being curled up somewhere asleep, but didn't thik it would be so close or accessible.
