    Smile my new friend. ( mareeba carpet python)

    got my first snake not long ago and its been great.
    she was a bit nippy when i first got her but was fine after a week

    I believe they originate from Mareeba/Atherton Tablelands? I'm far from a qualified herper though

    Im pretty sure they are just a jungle mareeba is just the locality of the python. And he a good lookin one mate hope ya look after him!!

    oh okay...so its just a jungle carpet from that locality, makes sense now i guess lol
    so is there any way to tell if its actually a jungle?

    Definitely looks good. I've been through that area but not on a herping trip, and didn't see any snakes

    It's great when they calm down and surprising how quick (in some cases). How old is she?

    some people have been saying its a jungle but all i was told is she is a mareeba carpet python so im going back there to find out.
