New hatchy click clack
My Broome Stimson has finally hatched, and now I am just waiting for the little blighter to start feeding well before I can bring her home. Can't wait!

Attached are a couple of pics of the enclosure we are planning to put her in. Any hints/suggestions? It has a scrunched up toilet roll hide, water bowl and a little artificial rock hide - Christmas pressies from my hubby (the rock hide and the water bowl that is - the toilet roll was found in the bathroom bin!!!)
Also in there are a couple of artificial leaves for purely aesthetic value!
The click clack will be kept within her large, locked enclosure (we have a nosy 3yo who can open click clacks!) We will be using a heat cord under 1/3 of it. Will the click clack being within the big enclosure limit air circulation too much?
I'm sure all you old hands are sick of these hatchy questions from us newbies desperate for approval,
so sorry for repeating the same thread that pops up regularly!
Hope the attachments come up OK

I'm almost there , just need to get the heat pad .....ohhhhhh & waiting on my license , after reading on many others waiting there could be a delay . Anyhow your next pics will be of your Stimmie lol Your like me .....just can't wait lol ........Is there much of a difference in the Broome Stimmie to a NT one ? or are they much the same !
Cheers Jackie

I had my click clack inside my enclosure and her temperatures were fine, mind you that was in May. I guess as long as it doesn't get too hot in the room it should be ok. It looks like your stimson will feel very secure with all of those hides
Krystal owns Stellar and Theo the Stimsonis and Ray owns Mika and Bitey the Bredlis
... and the rats, fish and of course Dash the Tabby Cat and Trixie the hyper but lazy pup!

Thanks for that - I had originally planned to use a light globe box until someone mentioned the other day that a tiny hatchy might feel safer in a smaller space. Dont' really think it is the end of the world either way tho.

Also, Krystal, thanks for that. I will keep an eye on temps in hot weather and maybe move the click clack out of reach for the bub, but out of the enclosure.

Looks great! I love the plants!
Our hatchie Noodle didn't like his toilet roll, I think because it moved when he went in (cos it's round)... his FAVOURITE spots to hide are medicine boxes e.g. panadol tablet boxes - he loves them, he feels nice and safe cos they are soo small!
How long til you get him>>Mumma to Atticus (3.5 year old Beardie), Marilyn (1.5 year old Diamond Python) and Tabitha (toddler human)

Spoke to Kane at SR the other day and he said they have hatched (

) They just have to wait until they are feedingwell/have shed etc. Shouldn't be more than a month now...
Like the advice about the toilet roll - makes sense, I will see how it goes. The plants came as part of the big enclosure we bought and I just added them to look a bit pretty! (I'm such a girl
)
Jackie, I think NTs are a bit more brown than the Broomes which are redder. Not really sure tho - I imagine they will look pretty similar!
