As mysnakesau has said ditch the pinkies, 1st feed for all my morelia hatchies are fuzzy mice as this guy doesn't look like a hatchy. pinky mice are better for antaresia imo.

Other options for your are small fuzzy rats and day old to week old jap quail, your just going to have to trail options to see which one suits.
    keep the heat up too......

Thanks mate, Yeah I reckon his head would be able to take it, the only issue is the thickness of his body haha. Good tip tho and thanks again. I did the dash yesterday afternoon. wholly S(*7% I can't believe the price of pinkie mice at pet stores, have not bought them for ages.. $15 for 10 AND THEY ARE TINY.. Oh well, if it doesn't eat them my Stimsons will demolish all 9 left in one feed haha

The hobby needs people like yourself doing things like this.

As mentioned by several other my only concern would be RI so maybe a little extra heat than normal?

Last night he went straight down onto the heat pad and chilled there for a solid 90 minutes. This morning was up on his branch all cuddled up, i will make sure I keep the temperature towards the higher end for a while

The thickness of his body is no problem. Provided he has the warmth to digest it he will be fine.

I use to do rescue call outs for FAWNA and had to get a baby snake out of someone's bird cage after it demolished a canary. I could not believe the size of the lump in that tiny snake, let alone how he managed to swallow it. Even the canary's owner thought it was very cute, but the snake couldn't get back out of the cage because his gut was too big.

We rescued two snakes off a lady in December last year. I was able to get feeding charts and everything and the little guys looked like they had just come out of the egg, and were just hitting a year old. They had been VERY slow fed (Im assuming so they would be easier to move on) hadnt been handled very much and were just, depressing to look at...

Nearly 6 months on and they have more than doubled in size and are eating at every 5-6 Days There is nothing more rewarding than giving an animal a chance of like that it might not have otherwise had.

    Great Job!! Keep us updated!

x3 on using fuzzys,if hes had no heat,he would have possably tried to shut down,if cool enough,so probably no biggy there,if u dont want to stresshim with tease feeding,if u keep bluetongues or other skinks, try rubbing a fuzzy on one of them, got one of my fussy coastal juvies feeding by using the scent of a shingleback,he never looked back after that, otherwise hold the fuzzy there for it to check out, especially if its on its perch, some prefer that to just leaving it in the cage, ifit bites it,wiggle it a little to mimick a live fuzzy, often makes them more inclined to eat it

Thanks Richardsc, It bite the pinkie the other night but let go so i think I will def give the fuzzies a go when i get back from Cairns next Thursday. That way he will has a week of warmth and comfortable enclosure...not smelling of mold or snake S%(&*% and then see how he goes, I will make sure I have the camera read to get some pictures if he snaps up
