Quick Woma Question

Hi everyone
Have had my woma a few weeks now, and i've noticed, when I feed him, he coils and coils, over and over, it almost looks like he's doing somersaults. None of my other snakes have ever done it, so was just wondering if its yet another woma quirk? :-)

They can be very keen feeders and each has their own personality, its nothing to worry about. Just sit back and enjoy the show.

I have some that thrash their tail about before feeding, some that dont... and one that gets so keen that it tries to eat itself (thats funny for a bit until it gets too serious and you have to intervene before it hurts itself)

I wasnt worried, just wondering if other womas do it. thanks for your reply, the woma trying to eat itself would be a sight :-)

Womas have a funny way of throwing coils over prey sometimes think its to do with constricting prey in burrows, in the wild, when space is limited. Mine doesn't so much coil or spin around the rat like my jungle does, more like he throws himself at the prey if you know what I mean
