a click clack is a plastic tub with handles that lock the lid in place.

I wouldn't put beardies in one.
Chances are, I don't like you.

whenever you need help answering a question or you need some definitions - it's a good idea to use the search button at the top of the screen (5th from the left)

    but to answer your question:

it's a brand name for a type of plastic box with a coloured lid that "clicks" on. within the larger lid there is a smaller transparent plastic lids that also clicks. hence it's a "click clack". They come in lots of sizes and you can get them from pet stores.

However, loads of people on here refer to any plastic box with a lid as a click clack - it's just something to keep juvie/hatchy snakes in.

i can't imagine it would be a great idea for beardies because they need basking heat from above and UV - which would be hard in a small plastic box - but i don't keep them so don't take my word as gospel.

if you need help let me know.

Maintain heat or provide heat? for a beardie? do you already have one or are you just trying to work out the logistics?

Larger plastics tubs are fine as enclosures for small beardies. The only thing is UV will make most plastic fall apart over time.

It will depend a bit on what its being kept in but a standard reflector or halogen light directed onto a branch or rock will provide plenty of daytime heat. Just check the temperatures at the hottest part where the dragon can sit around 40C but you also need to make sure this dosnt make the whole encosure too hot.

If you can post up some pics of the enclosure, what are you using for heating?

Get a reflector bulb either the standard tungsten wire type(err the normal type light thingys) or halogen bulbs and direct them onto a branch or rock so the temp directly under the light is about 40C. Moving the branch closer to the light helps to acheive this.

In brisbane i have never needed anything over 50-60 watts for little dragons. Cool temps at night are fine with beardies.

put polystyrene foam (same sheets they use under fish tanks) around 3sides of the glass.
glass is horrible at holding in heat and thats why most enclosures are made of wood or plastic.
maby even consider using 2bulbs. also do u have a thermostat?
