That is a little different to what you said on the website, you stated you persuaded him to give them to you. Now, what if I had bought them or someone else desperately looking for stumpies, you effectively removed 2 perfectly healthy lizards from the market and are now trying to use that lucky bargain to give others the impression you rescued them. Why did you not also do something to help the adult stumpies who are outside in the Melbourne winter. Also, if you have indeed been keeping for years you would know it is actually illegal in Victoria to sell an animal if you have had them for less that six months so that would make a lot of things you take illegal acquisitions.

I believe I persuaded him with the way I put the question, but u would know better, I was only there
I told him stumpies shouldn't be outside during the winter in his area and I also contacted DSE and told them the situation and they said they would look into it and regarding the taking the stumpies before he had them 6 months they said it was fine as he had bred them, Also I contacted them about the rescued dragon and explained the situation and they told me how to do it legally (I'm not going to risk my whole operation for one rescue) So please dont assume, but I appreciate your concern

Do you know me personally? no so please dont guess what my personal views are.
This is purely another option for people who want to know there reptile will be going to a good loving home, if they can no longer accomodate them and are not interested in making money.
If you dont want to use my service then don't there are others out there.

10 points for entrepreneurial effort, I predict you will have a lot of beardies coming your way hope you are planning on working after school to pay for the food.

we don't work very hard, but the job gets done (most of the time)

Expect a lot of cynicism with regards to your 'Rescue' organisation. Lots of people have experience with others who have purported to be doing the same thing but have basically been either a money-making venture or a cover for hoarders who want to collect a heap of their animals of choice. I'm making no assumptions with respect to your motives but, if you are genuine, I hope you have a thick skin.

I thought I would get some flak and I can understand that people most likely think I'm trying to expand my collection for free, but as I stated earlier the less I get the better.
For the people out there with genuine kind words and support thank you very much

It doesn't matter if he wants to expand his collection getting free animals. If I was offered free healthy animals I would probably take them, and so would most others...
I was trying not to sound like I was having a go but basically I think it's a bit misleading naming yourself an organisation when you have neither the experience (regardless of the number of years you've kept reptiles you still only have a basic licence) nor relevant permits to offer a comprehensive service - but you have acknowledged this by adding the link to black snake productions which is why I liked your response. As I said, I'm not trying to have a go, just stating it as I see it.
What you're doing is good, regardless of your motives, because as long as seller/giver and buyer/receiver are happy nothing else matters - if you get free reptiles who cares, I'm sure you look after them well and both parties are happy so everybody wins. I can't understand why several people made a fuss about your shingleback acquisition, jealousy perhaps.Last edited by jordo; 23-May-12 at 09:19 PM. Reason: grammar
