2 questions

hey
Just 2 quick questions, how much heat do people use in their beardie cages? I have 2 hachies in a mesh cage and was wondering if i could just get a heat rock for them. And the other thing is dose anyone think I can keep 2 ewds and a eastern bluey in a 5 foot cage? because most the time the bluey will be on the ground and waters in the trees right?
thanks heaps for any replies

mate stay away from heat rocks and mats ( though you can use a heat mat on the side of the enclosure) ... beardies cant sense heat properly from under and this may cause burns short or long term and or digestive issues ..... a standard bulb on a thermostat! and what uv do you use?

Yeah don't use a heat rock mate, they much prefer to absorb heat through their back via a radiant heat source such as a ceramic heat emitter or a light globe.

The blueys and water dragons may get along, they may not. Both species pack a powerful bite and could seriously hurt each other. In my opinion it is not worth the risk.

get yourself a ceramic bulb - they heat up better anyway and wont give off any light - just be sure it is in a cage coz they get hotter than an normal light

no having a thermostat on the rock doesnt make a difference they tend to just stay there because they dont know they are cooking .... at night you can use a heat pad on the side of the enclosure but not under... but the best buy is a ceramic .....and always use a thermostat and a digital thermometer !

alright thanks
i have a five footer but it can have a divider in the middle is there anything else that might take up a bit of room because my bluey is running out of room in his tank now so i want to put him in it but a bluey in a big tank with a lot of hight sounds like a bit of waste to me.
