Advanced heating systems

has anyone used microclimates Advanced heating systems before? and if so what did you think of them (other than the price)

yeh i've looked them up before. was thinking bout it but they were abit out of my price range range lol. i settled on an DL1ME. havn't hooked it up yet, but it looks pritty serious
sorry to hichike but just wondering what do people use for brackets when attaching microclimate thermoststs?
and any feedback on those AHS i would love to know 2.

I have seen them and they seem like a good product like all their stuff but not that necessary up here.

Been reading the info. Essentially it is an automated dimming thermostat. You set the temperature and and leave it, then as the enclosure nears the set temperature the electricity is restricted thus lowering the heat.

Sounds like overkill.

all depends on how long they last. its like the URS vivariums they cost a bit but you will only ever need to buy 1

They do save you alot of $$ and time stuffing around with bulbs.. (and pulling light cages off)Thats what the dimmer model was made for.. Gets rid of the constant on / off cycle which blows bulbs quickly. The pulse model are used for highly accurate temp control, esp in incubators.

I think the dimmer is great... Havn't used the pulse model..

i have been using the dimming thermostats for a long time now and will never go back to an on/off thermo. so from what i understand there is not alot of diference in what im doing now but i wont know until i run one for a few months and see what happends
