Question Bearded Dragon Feeding

Hi all,

I have two juvie dragons and i was just wondering if i can put plants in there enclosure. If i can what would be the best plant for them, and are there any plants that they would eat. They are central beardies if that helps.

Thanks for your help.

I use fake plant life. It looks ok its easy to clean and they don't eat it so they wont get sick.

Most beardies will try and eat anything that even remotely looks plant like. So i'd be careful with the plants that you select. Make sure that they arent toxic etc.

One of my beardies at a plastic leaf and passed it out the other end

Plants will create high humidity; make sure you have very good ventillation. Also beware of chemicals/fertilizers that may be in the soil, and of course there may be nasty bacteria in the soil also. All in all i say it is not worth the risk, but each to their own.
