bearded issues ?? opinions wanted

i have a 9 mth or so old beardy male who has up until now been kept in a 6 ft tank inside, i was given a 6ft much wider aviary last week and have been putting him outside through the day, this is where my problem is HE TRIED TO BITE ME he is the most quiet cuddly beardy ive ever seen, he is very friendly but since being out side he has gotten a bit funny my question is

is it
a. just his age (hormones(spl))
b. because hes outside
c. a mix of both

he still has a lot of human contact outside but if hes gunna get nasty he can just stay inside

i would love your opinions please

My Beardies were the same, probably for a number of reasons. Maybe he feels more vulnerable (ie exposed) outside and that makes him nervous. My male bearded dragon always used to run from me or get aggro when I went to bring him in, inside he was like a little puppy- maybe he just wants to stay outside!!

I reckon he is exposed to more stresses/threats outside and is therefore more defensive.

Following the other opinions posted above i to think it may be a threat/stress issue.

I have a red coloured male that will get really defensive if i try bringing him inside. I did notice that this was mainly occuring before i made changes to the enclosure they were kept in outdoors. I've since put a large hollow log in the cage, and although it does still occur its nowhere near as common.

So IMP i would make sure there were enough hides for your beardy as a starting point.

Would you be able to post a pic and show us what you keep it in outdoors?

He scences freedom being out side perhaps, but being a beardy, he will settle down, watch that he doesn't rub his nose on the wire.
