Lilmiss & miss B, I would have the lights come on a little earlier in the morning and feed before you go to work. I wouldnt be feeding right before the beardie goes to sleep, as the food will just sit undigested in his stomach, which isnt a healthy thing. My lights come on around 6.30 in the morning and so I usually feed in the morning, leaving them all day to digest. My lights go off around 8pm, though my beardies have usually put themselves to bed by that stage.
Cheers | haha i was starting to confuse myself too, trying to help 2 people so i got confused by lilmiss and miss B (as dumb as that sounds ) yeah i also started reading a book yesterday on bearded dragons and they say that you can feed them at night with no problems .... so yeah go ahead and feed it whenever you like..
cheers and sorry for the confusingness (if there even is a word like that??)

If your setup is good with nice heat retaining objects, like granite or tiles, then the heat should remain a little bit longer after the lights go out.
Radiant heat doesn't have to all the heat they get.
Also, some people use heat mats during night in the colder months. |

Their breeder suggested that feeding more often is not necessary and from my limited experience I would agree. They've also skipped the odd days feed voluntarily and look pretty good still. Its up to you but I would suggest feeding in the morning is enough. |

I just thought they needed to bask and warm their blood up in order for their digestive system to function effectively..?
