It depends what the temp is. If you have a thermostat rigged to say, 33 degrees, it should turn off when the enclosure hits that temp.

If the globe is red or blue coloured, then the light shouldn't bother them.

They should be given a day night cycle. Do you like sleeping with the light on You can either switch the lights on and off everyday or buy a timer to do it for you.

I use a timer to switch off all the lights and heat at night, all through the year. My beardies are healthy and happy.

But if the globe is a heat globe coloured red/blue isn't that just fine to be on during the night? Seeing as they can't see that spectrum or some such?

Yeah I have a red globe too and it doesn't bother Scurvy at all... So Wardy, if your globe is red/blue coloured it should be sweet.

Beardies should be fine with no night heating if kept indoors.

i keep my light on at night ( there in my room aswell ) its a red 1 but there in a mesh cage so at night its cold (sometimes) and they dont have any other heat.
i guess you can turn it off but its better to keep it on
