do not worry about a limb falling off, that is crap. get a large container and fill it about 1 inch of luke-warm water, make sure its shallow and not too much water or he could drown, leave him in there for a hour, then pick him up, his skin should be nice and loose, my lizards always let me get the last of the skin of for them, so try that. feet are always a tricky thing with skin. hope it helps

In support of what Jordo just said, I had a blue tongue given to me a few years ago that had had that exact problem, the owner of this lizard did not pay much attention to his animals however and the problem could have easily been prevented by the method that has already been described. People should not be so quick to dismiss these sorts of things as crap simply because they have not seen it happen.

Yep, it's true. Limbs will drop off. Usually it's their toes that will go, particularly with pit animals but an arm can also be lost if the lizard is kept in a dry, hot enclosure with no consideration for humidity. Too dry an environment can lead to shedding problems.. The skin dries up around the joints and acts like a rubber band around a sheeps tail. The blood flow to these areas is cut off and the limb slowly dies and falls off. Once the problem starts there's usually no going back and the limb must be allowed to drop off.
