Yeah the egg carton works a treat, got some blondes that love it for some reason
I have been using a "Ultimate Hide Rock" for a few years now and never ahd a problem, just scrub it ever so often,
The smallest one of those are about $15, that should last you a fair while.
i have tries shredded paper in a bowl as well, they seem to like that too

hmm new questions
seeing that most ppl say i should always keep 2 hides in click clacks
hot and cold area
some ppl use 1 full egg cart which basically would cover half my click clack
from 1 side (hot) to other(cold)
is this ok ir betta with 2 6pack egg carts leds
im abit worried theres to much room in a full led that it get unconfy
also Probing
when is it accurate to probe a snake as a hatchling
i hear there been few mistakes where ppl thought they got a female but it was a male
i wanna make sure that when i get 2 snakes
that they are different sex
bb
plz help

Mate, any box of a suitable size will do as long as it fits in your click and the snake can do the same.
I keep Humidity 30% to 50%, it just depends. Yes they don't need a high humidity as they are from a drier climate but mine never have a problems.

Cut a coconut in half , get the white centre out of it so you have a shell. then make a hole in it for a cool looking cheap hide.
OMG I sound like tonia toddman

I use 6 pack egg cartons with my Waters, which are still big enough to crawl in, and Ken Griffiths said he uses them with all his hatchies. They like to curl up in the holes, or curl around the 'spikes' inside. They last a while too (unless your snake takes a dump in them).

Hi m8, you could TRY and probe at 8 months although i think that is way too early, and you must be extremely careful not to damage their vital reproduction parts...I have been informed that 18mths is ok, and i also know a very experienced person who probes at 2.5 years...They say that there is no point probing untill they are sexually mature (unless you really wanna know)...

Do not use the heat wave heat pad. They are way, way too hot. Try oneof the brands from the Herp Shop or Ultimate. They are far safer

Your best bet would be to buy from an experienced breeder, they will get it pretty much on the nose for you. Wether they probe, or pop them it's not a exactly 100%.
