Bredls timing

Have a large pair of Centralians that were wintered in Newcastle. I have sinced moved these animals to FNQ an hour past Cairns. They have not eaten since Feb and still have no real urge to feed. The girl is 8 kilos and the male about 5. They are still plump and are basking every day as they are housed out doors. Can anyone tell me when they might breed. Also is it a good idea to spasmodically remove the male? Cheers all Matt

breeding has already started for most snakes and egg laying is aking place now.. as for moving the male: it would be a better idea to seperate them and then later put them back and then see what happens..

Bredli are spring breeders, if they were mine I would put the boy in with the girl now, otherwise you might miss out leave him in for one week then take him out for a few days then back with the girl
Hope this helps

I live in Cairns and mine have not even mated once yet.
Last year they were mating by this time but we've had a cooler than usual winter this year.
My female is on shed and they will be back together once she has shed.
It's not unusual for people to be getting bredli eggs around christmas so it's definately not too late for them.
I'd just watch the humidty up there with them being housed outdoors.

Both my pairs began mating 1 week ago, though last year they didn't start til mid-September, so now is about the right time to begin introducing them.

Yer thanks people. Your right when you say we have had a mild start to things. Its even hard to get 2 or 3 mornings in a row when the sun shines hard first up. The male looks like shedding soon so things might look up soon. Cheers all
