The female weighs 302g and the male 282g.
I intend giving them another couple feeds, cooling during June and introducing at the start of July.
I saw a similar thread not so long ago, where some successful advice was given.
If anyone can has some pointers they'd be willig to share please feel free to post them or send me a message.
Much appreciated,
Rob |

I can't offer you anything of substance here, but I will point out that a good weight for a given female will depend, to a degree, on her length, so you might want to mention that as well.
I'm also keen to hear responses to this, as I plan on trying to breed some childreni (among other things) this year and it will be my first time trying to breed pythons, so I'll need all the advice I can get
Cheers,
Lee |

I have read that antaresia don't particularly need to be cooled to sucessfully breed.
Would be great to hear some opinions on introduction times etc, espcially as i hopefully will also be breeding some childrens this season. Any little tricks anyone? |

They were going for it for almost 24 hours not long after I put them together the first time. I have seen them together a couple of times in the last few days.
I wouldn't wait too much longer before starting to cool them down.

I think you lnow what we are talking about, the same reason why no work is getting done and i'm watching the for sale thread all day lol. |

Today is the 16th of May. We are getting close to "late May".

Mine have been together for about 6 weeks and started mating straight away. I'm in Sydney where the nights get cool fairly early on. Your heating/cooling regeme will also depend on when they start to mate as well. I've never supplied night time heat for any of my reptiles that I use for breeding, just let the natural night time drop over a few months take it course and then let the snakes do the rest.
My stimsons still get a 30 degree plus basking spot every day, just reduced to about 8 hours in winter then no other heat. Coldest i've had them is about 10 degrees but thats when they seem to be mating the most |

The herp room has been dropping to 15 degrees every night since the start of May. Jungles are pacing restlessly already. Stimmies are in the non-cooled room at the moment but that'll soon change, just want to get a couple more feeds into them. Thanks Splitmore |
